Solomon Rogers has been awarded an Honorary Degree for his contributions to the immersive and emerging technology industry.

As founder and CEO of REWIND, the UK’s premier immersive and spatial computing design studio, and now Global Director of Innovation at Magnopus, Sol has pioneered projects of Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and Spatial Computing.
He is also an educator with more than 10-years as a senior university lecturer, teaching the next generation of digital creatives.
After a short stint with Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, Sol’s passion for technology and knowledge-sharing saw him appointed as one of the country’s youngest senior lecturers at the University of Hertfordshire.
He shaped new courses in video games, digital animation, visual effects and other emerging fields, and went on to teach more than a thousand students and supervised doctoral research.
In 2011, he co-founded REWIND with a friend, which gained international acclaim and delivered groundbreaking world-first projects for global brands such as Disney, Microsoft, Meta - McLaren, Rolls Royce, Red Bull and the BBC.
Today, Sol is recognised as one of the most influential voices in emerging and immersive technology worldwide.
He is Chairman of BAFTA’s Immersive Entertainment Advisory Group and serves as Chairman for Innovate UK Immersive Network, the UK Government’s advisory network for immersive technology.
He also advises the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development’s global forum on immersive technologies.
Sol still supports the UK’s leading creative industries’ talent pipeline, including initiatives such as Royal Holloway’s StoryFutures Academy.
