At this year's Summer Graduation ceremonies, Royal Holloway awarded Honorary Degrees to four distinguished individuals whose work has made a significant impact across politics, conservation, economics and technology.

Recognising outstanding achievements and contributions to society, the University's newest Honorary Graduates join Royal Holloway's global alumni community and a long tradition of individuals whose work embodies leadership, innovation and positive change.
Professor Pippa Norris, one of the world's leading political scientists, was recognised for her influential contributions to political science and democratic research. A Professor at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government, her work on democracy, elections, gender politics and political participation has shaped academic understanding and informed public policy around the world. Mark Rose OBE, conservation leader and Royal Holloway alumnus (BSc Zoology 1979), received an Honorary Doctorate of Science in recognition of his pioneering work in wildlife conservation. During a career spanning more than three decades, he transformed Fauna & Flora International into one of the world's most respected conservation organisations and continues to support global environmental initiatives, including The Earthshot Prize. Suw Charman-Anderson, technology journalist, entrepreneur and advocate for diversity in technology, was recognised for her contributions to digital rights and her founding of Ada Lovelace Day, giving voice to women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. Read more here.
Ece Özdemiroğlu, environmental economist and founder of Economics for the Environment Consultancy (eftec), received an Honorary Doctorate in recognition of her work advancing environmental economics and helping organisations embed the value of nature into policy and decision-making.
