Our students evaluated various aspects of our teaching and their experience in the Classics Department by responding to a number of questions.

In response to the question “How good are teaching staff at explaining things?” 100% of the students gave us the top score “Very good” . Another question asked them to assess “to what extent have you had the chance to explore ideas and concepts in depth”; 93.1% of our students said that it was to a large extent, again the top scoring option. Finally, 99.1% of the students felt that they were very well supported by our academics in their learning and that it was very easy to contact them when they needed help.   

This year’s NSS results demonstrate that our students are very happy with their academic courses and delighted with their experience in the Classics Department. We are proud of our ethos as a supportive, nurturing community of staff and students that is united by its passion for the ancient world.
