'Music, Heritage, Place' led by the Department of Music is featuring in mainstage performances at festivals this summer including Folk by the Oak, Warwick Folk Festival and Shrewsbury Folk Festival.

The research project - Music, Heritage, Place - led by the Department of Music at Royal Holloway, is featuring in mainstage performances at festivals this summer including Folk by the Oak, Warwick Folk Festival and Shrewsbury Folk Festival.
Project co-investigator Nancy Kerr and the Melrose Quartet are performing a programme bringing to life the music discovered by the project in the archives of Bedfordshire, Cornwall, Hampshire, Northumberland and West Yorkshire, including music featured on the BBC series The Song Detectorists. Nancy is also leading singing workshops at each festival where you can learn local songs lost for over 300 years and now re-discovered by Royal Holloway researchers.
