In mid-May Prof Tom Dyson delivered presentations of his ESRC grant (ES/V004190/1) findings on military learning to audiences of academics, practitioners and students at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and at the German Armed Forces Centre for Military History and the Social Sciences in Potsdam (ZMSBw).

At the ZMSBw Prof Dyson and his research collaborator Dr John Tull (University of Greenwich) presented their work to an audience of faculty from the Centre, as well as officers from the German Armed Forces and Federal Ministry of Defence. The event was organised by Dr Ina Kraft, Project Manager for Multinationality and International Armed Forces at the ZMSBw.

The presentation at RMA Sandhurst allowed Prof Dyson and Dr Tull to workshop with around 60 students, faculty and military officers as invited speakers at the RMA Sandhurst ‘Modern War Studies and Contemporary Military History Research Day’, organised by Prof. Lloyd Clark, University of Buckingham.
The project findings stimulated an enthusiastic Q&As at both events and further validated the study findings, with the follow-on discussions pointing to some very interesting avenues for future collaborations.
