I am an interdisciplinary researcher working at the intersection of sustainability, forests, food systems, and social equity. My work applies impact evaluation and participatory approaches to understand how land-use interventions and resource governance shape ecological and social outcomes. Through the Foodscapes project, I explore how diverse and often marginalised communities experience and navigate food systems, using relational and place-based perspectives to inform more context-sensitive pathways toward sustainable and equitable futures. More broadly, my research engages with the contestations unfolding in forest landscapes, particularly around the trade-offs and synergies between food security, environmental conservation, and development. Methodologically, I draw on multiple sources and approaches, including qualitative, quantitative, and participatory visual methods, to promote more diverse forms of evidence and knowledge that reflect the complexity of sustainability challenges.
