Dr Sofya du Boulay is an ESRC Postdoctoral Fellow at the School of Law, Politics and Sociology at University of Sussex.
Her research focuses on authoritarian politics, ideology, and regime legitimation, with a regional focus on Central Asia and the South Caucasus. She is interested in the policy implications of autocratic rule and illiberal governance.
